prevention. Our practice is designed to excel at this. Diabetics
can prevent the complications of eye damage leading to blindness,
kidney failure and extremity gangrene leading to amputation
by better controlling their blood sugar.
Our office can have your lab results immediately to make treatment
changes that visit. Likewise, we can have your Cholesterol
(complete Lipid Panel) in five minutes to change your therapy
if necessary.
Dr. Damasco-Gutierrez has a special interest in Women’s
Care from Gynecology to the Controversies of Hormone Replacement
Therapy and the Problems of Menopause including Osteoporosis.
Many of our patients are seen in emergency, urgent, same
day and next day settings. Pneumonia and other infections
such as throat, sinus and urinary tract. Because we have
Laboratory and X-ray we can diagnose and treat immediately
instead of requiring the long wait and increased expense
of a hospital emergency room visit. We evaluate chest pain
and potential heart disorders with immediate EKGs and Chest
X-rays. We evaluate and treat Asthma with Spiromentry (lung
function testing) and we provide Respiratory Therapy in
our office.
Lacerations are repaired and sutured (stitches) and Fractures
are X-rayed, Set and Casted. Eye injuries are evaluated
under a slit lamp examination and Hearing can be checked
by Audiograms screening and detection. We perform Flexible
Fiberoptic Sigmoidoscopy examinations for Colon Cancer evaluations.
Furthermore,
should it be required, we will hospitalize and supervise
your care utilizing appropriate Medical Specialists. If
necessary we provide Home Visits where appropriate and will
work with post hospitalization Home Health Agencies and
Hospice Care.
Our office can evaluate Automobile accidents and provide
treatment. We perform a myriad of Special Examinations such
as Commercial Drivers License, Sports Examinations, High
School and College Entrance Examinations. We do almost every
type of Pre-employment Evaluations including Drug Screening.
